The Altar Guild


Altar Guild members are charged with the care and maintenance of the Church’s holy vessels, paraments and linens and set the altars of the Church for worship—a high calling indeed!  They’re knowledgeable in the rich symbolism that informs the holy things used in worship and, as ones who handle the chalices that hold the Precious Blood of Christ and the patens that cradle Christ’s Precious Body during the Mass, they are no less than bearers and keepers of the Holy Grail, stewards of the mysteries.
