Aelred, Abbot of Rievaulx
Grant to thy people, Almighty God, a spirit of mutual affection; that, following the example of thy servant Aelred of Rievaulx, we might know the love of Christ in loving one another; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Rector’s Christian Doctrine Class is a 14-session comprehensive overview of Christian teaching about God, sin, salvation, church history, sacraments and more. January 12 is the second session; its topic is “God the Son: Incarnation and Atonement.”
This class is particularly for persons who are new to the church. It will give you a good sense of what Christians believe and a grasp of fundamental Christian practices (such as prayer and the sacraments). It is also an opportunity to get to know our Rector, Father Mead. Persons who wish to join Saint Thomas Church, and persons who wish to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church, are particularly encouraged to attend. We also welcome drop-ins who happen to be interested in the topic of the day.
